Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) equipment may be used to observe parts of a process, room, or buildings from a central control room. CCTV systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor a particular event. A more advanced form of CCTV, utilizing DVR (Digital Video Recorder), provides recording for possibly many weeks, with a variety of quality and performance options and extra features such as motion-detection and email alert. More recently, IP-based CCTV cameras, some equipped with megapixel sensors, support recording directly to NAS (Network Attached Storage), or internal flash for completely stand-alone operation.
Central Management Software (CMS)
CMS provides a single platform for management and control of all video surveillance
, both analogue and IP ranging from few cameras to thousand of cameras, from few locations nationwide to hundred or thousand of worldwide locations. Users can control and manage any camera or device in the entire network, receive an alarm, acknowledge an alarm, view a camera or a group of cameras, playback of recorded images of selected camera, control a PTZ camera, E-mapping, and even configure and setup of all functions that can be carried out at the local site without any distance limitation.
